Pajama Shorts or Pants? Compare Your Options

The first question when choosing pajama shorts or pants is how much leg coverage you enjoy at home. Then consider the top, the waistband and the fabric information. Comparing those details can be more useful than choosing a set purely by season or print.

Below are four Ebukurty styles with different combinations of neckline, bottom length and fiber content. Use them to narrow your shortlist, then check each product's measurements before selecting a size.

When to consider shorts

Shorts are worth considering if you prefer less fabric around your legs or dislike a trouser hem near your ankles. Think about how your existing sleepwear feels when you sit, curl up on the sofa or move under a blanket.

Check the shorts' measurements as carefully as the top's. Length, hip room and the leg opening all affect how much coverage you get. A product photograph shows the set on one wearer; it cannot establish exactly where the hem will sit on you.

For a collared look, start with the TR95M set. If you prefer a top without front buttons, compare the star-print NNS207M with the solid ZSM22M. That gives you a choice between a patterned or plain pullover without changing to pants.

When to consider pants

Pants provide more leg coverage than shorts. The TR96M set is an option if you want that coverage with a short-sleeve, button-front top. For TR96M, Pants Length means the length measured along the side of the long pants, not the inseam. The garment chart lists 85, 86.5, 88, 89.5, 91 and 92.5 cm for sizes 1XL through 6XL, respectively. Compare the same measurement on a similar pair that fits you well.

If you want a printed alternative, the heart-print pajama set with pants lists 95% polyester and 5% elastane in sizes 1XL through 4XL. Its size range differs from TR96M, so compare the actual chart rather than assuming the same size will fit alike.

Choose the top as well as the bottom length

A collar and button front create a different neckline from a round-neck tee. Consider which you already enjoy wearing and whether you prefer fastening a top or pulling it over your head.

Small practical details can help you decide. TR95M lists two pockets in the shorts. If pockets matter to you, look for that information on the specific set rather than assuming every matching pajama set includes them.

Read the fabric composition without guessing performance

TR95M and TR96M share the same listed fiber percentages, making them useful options to compare for bottom length. NNS207M and ZSM22M have different blends. Fiber percentages alone do not tell you the fabric's weight, how warm it will feel or how far it stretches; your room, bedding and fit preferences also matter.

Choose the shape you prefer, then use How to Choose Your Plus-Size Pajama Size to check the measurements. You can find these styles together in the plus-size pajama collection.
